I have not heard any updates since my last meeting with Mayor Poch on 02/06/2026. I am quite simply requesting a letter from Chief Bowden to allow the Grand Coulee Police Department to conduct law enforcement via the Police Officers Powers Act (RCW 10.93.070). I frankly believe this would be in the best interest of the citizens of Electric City as I know the Coulee Dam Police Department has recently lost officers to other departments. Along with a multitude of other reasons, it would not hurt to have mutual aid established with the Grand Coulee Police Department to help with responses to calls while Coulee Dam works to fill the vacant positions.
